Work with Chef Alba to learn how to prepare delicious dishes using the freshest ingredients and simple techniques. In this interactive, hands-on cooking class, you will receive recipes and prep instructions before class so you can easily follow along. Turn on your camera to engage with Chef Alba, ask questions, and get immediate feedback. Cook along or enjoy watching the lesson with not only the Chef but other participants as well. Chef Alba loves to have you cook with her!

Due to this unique format, attendance is limited to 20 households (devices). Please only register if you are sure you can attend. If you do need to cancel for any reason, let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else.

Chef Alba is a cooking instructor and personal chef with 16 years of passion and experience. She specializes in southern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Istanbul is well known for the richness and diversity of its cuisine. It has played a significant role in the long history of the Turks in Ottoman times. Today Turkish food and mealtimes are still the focus of everyday life. It takes pride in sharing meals with family and friends to relax and enjoy conversation at the table.

MENU: Lahmacun (Turkish Pizza), Lamb Koftas with Three Yogurt Mezes, Bulgur Pilaf with Lentils and Caramelized Onion, and Baked Dried Apricots with Walnuts for dessert.



Owner, Cooking with Chef Alba

Chef Alba is a cooking instructor, a personal chef, cookbook author, recipe writer, editor and tester, and a food blogger with over 16 years of experience. Born in Naples, Italy and raised in Tunisia, North Africa, she gained practical knowledge of traditional techniques and ingredients which she shares with her students and clients. Alba’s expertise is in Regional Italian, Moroccan, Greek, Turkish, and other Mediterranean Cuisines. Alba is currently teaching virtual adult cooking classes for Mary’s Land Farm/Secolari, Whole Foods Annapolis, Howard County Parks and Recreation, Howard Community College, other locations, and privately. Alba has appeared on FOX DC, CBS DC, and PBS Virginia performing live cooking demos. She also conducts culinary trips to Umbria and Tuscany in the Spring and Fall of each year. Alba is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier, and IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals).
