Neighbor Ride, a Howard County non-profit organization, was founded in 2004 through the efforts of a small group of community advocates to provide a safe, friendly and reliable means of transportation for county residents over the age of sixty who can’t drive, regardless of their ability to pay. Designed to reduce isolation and help older community members live the life they love, Neighbor Ride has empowered seniors to maintain independence and connect to the people and things that matter most. In addition, Neighbor Ride offers local residents meaningful and rewarding volunteer opportunities that fit into their busy lives and contributes to our community.

Today, Neighbor Ride’s team of nearly 350 volunteers provide passenger rides, food delivery, and much more to over 1,500 older adults living in Howard County. Neighbor Ride IS “Driving our Community.” How can you help?
