WEBINAR: From Lung to Life; The Anatomy of Healthy Breathing with Dr. Maryrose Blank

Breathing is something we do every moment of every day, yet few people are taught how it truly works or how deeply it influences performance, mindset, and overall well-being. Healthy breathing is more than getting air in and out of the lungs—it’s a powerful driver of nervous system balance, mental clarity, emotional control, and physical efficiency.

Join BWFA and Maryrose Blank, Psy.D., CMPC, as we break down the anatomy of breathing in simple terms and explore how intentional breath patterns can shift the body out of stress and into a state that supports focus, resilience, and high performance.

Topics will include:

  • Learn how breathing really works in the body, and why the way you breathe affects your energy, focus, and physical performance.
  • Understand how breathing patterns influence the brain and nervous system, shaping stress levels, emotional control, and mental clarity.
  • Recognize common breathing habits that drain performance, such as shallow or tense breathing, and how they impact mood, endurance, and decision-making.
  • Explore the connection between breath, mindset, and resilience, including how breathing can shift you from “survival mode” to calm, controlled performance.
  • Take away simple, practical breathing strategies they can use immediately to improve focus, manage stress, and perform better in daily life, work, and movement.
