WELLNESS WEBINAR – Therapeutic Yin Yoga for Beginners with Dagmar Bohlmann

Greetings!

Baltimore-Washington Financial Advisors and Registered Yoga Teacher, Dagmar Bohlmann invite you to a relaxing yoga class, “Therapeutic Yin Yoga for Beginners”.
Wellness Webinar
Monday, November 8, 2021 from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM EST
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, therapeutic style of yoga. Yin postures are more passive postures, mainly done on the floor either seated or lying down. There are no sun salutations, no planks, no warriors, no jump throughs! You will be asked to relax into the posture, allowing the body to soften and release naturally without pushing or straining. It is not uncommon for postures to be held for three to five minutes. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation, as the mind shifts from yang to yin, or from active to passive. The key to practicing Yin Yoga is finding stillness, letting consistent chatter of the mind fade away while opening a healing space to simply be.
By practicing Yin Yoga, you will learn how to:
  • Calm and balance the mind and body
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Increase circulation
  • Improve flexibility
  • Release fascia and improve joint mobility
  • Increase gratitude and joy
  • Promote self-love
  • Find better sleep
*Please wear comfortable clothes and have a mat and a pillow available.

PRESENTER:
RYT 500, Registered Yoga Teacher
Having lived on two continents, in three countries and five states, I appreciate being at home on my mat. As freelance writer, yoga teacher and mother of two, this is where I find solace and serenity, balance and alignment.

I got serious about meditating during my RYT500 certification through Sampoorna Yoga School in Goa, India. In addition, I hold a RYT200 certification from Charm City Yoga in Baltimore (now YogaWorks). I love sharing my knowledge of over 500 hours of training related to health, kinesiology, and anatomy.

The body and the mind are fascinating places to visit. Let me take you on a journey of curiosity, acceptance, non-judgment and self-love.

We hope you can join us!

Sincerely,

Robert Carpenter
