Scot received a Bachelor of Economics with a minor in Russian from Ohio University in 1992. He completed his graduate work at the University at Buffalo in 2001 earning an MBA in Finance.
Prior to coming to BWFA as Director of Client Services in 2007, Scot was a Vice President with M&T Bank’s Investment Group and Senior Product Manager for the bank's $9 billion mutual fund group. He was a member of the subadvisor selection committee for MTB Investment Advisors and an officer for MTB Funds. Scot is an expert in investment management, mutual funds, annuities, and banking. He holds a Series 65 license (Registered Investment Adviser).
Scot has prior experience in sales, business development, international trade, as well as executive education. He still speaks a little Russian and Czech from his time living abroad.
A native of Northern Virginia and a Redskins fan, Scot returned to the area in 2003 as part of a bank merger and lives with his wife and two daughters in Laurel, Maryland near Ft. Meade.
In his free time, Scot enjoys travel as well as camping, hiking, fishing, and kayaking with his family.
